Statement of our Enduring Support for the Palestinian Determination

We are a people focused by Faith in G-d and the disciplines of Islamic knowledge and practice. This is our enduring orientation and we have cultivated it in America - within the history of nearly 100 years of what that America has been, is presently, and will be.

It is a heavy burden to have witnessed the times of leadership determination and progress of our late, special leaders Elijah Mohammed and Wallace D. Mohammed in the context of American democratic promises, struggles, failures and triumphs and our own maturation as an indigenous and proud Muslim-American people - to now see what high offices in American government have become. I would not have thought looking through the lens of Imam W Deen Mohammed’s vision for what America could be that significant numbers of its people would succumb to the acceptance of a Tarzan-like, unintelligible and immoral wild man as its Commander in Chief.

I am obliged by a purity of Islamic faith and its ethical trainings in a sacred and guided tradition belonging specifically to the American history and nativity of a New Covenanted People to not go against my own government unless there is no other moral or reasonable choice. In other words, we have been trained by great moral teachers to obey decency and demand uprightness from and for ourselves which includes full acceptance of citizenship duty. Yet, within this sacred commitment we cannot and will not abide blatant, brazen affronts to human dignity at home or abroad - indignities meted upon innocents and made in the name of the law of the land of our citizenship and national identity. Such a condition is beneath even the most humble.

In less than one month of a new administration Donald J Trump has proven by words and deeds beyond any reasonable doubt that American leadership is misguided and corrupted, aided and abetted by an intransigent supremacist mentality and arrogance that threatens not only the world but the American people’s image in the world.

Native Americans know, as do the descendants of a diabolical American slave system, the language and behavior of a misguided manifest destiny-expansionist brutality in the making. Muslim African American sensitivity will not permit that we delay a second - not one second, even within the clear Islamic obligations we honor to be responsible and patient through all periods of difficulty, in calling out attention to and compliance with our scriptural theme that “denial of human respect and potential is worse than human slaughter.”

What Donald Trump proposes, with his capitalist real estate developer turned imperial aggressor instincts, to commandeer an oversight and ownership of Gaza, expelling millions of innocent human beings from their legitimate homeland for the colonial satisfaction of a water-front riviera enjoyed by the world’s elite classes is an unconscionable disrespect to the dignity of human life. It bears the tripled devilish mark of a white world supremacist mind enabled by Israeli war machine ambitions, and Jacobite puppet mastery.

Before the G-d of Justice, our Guardian Lord, Creator of all that Exists including mankind and the natural worlds, the Sender of Messengers and Prophets, we witness and shall witness that these actions are not accepted.

Much of the world, if not all of it, sat silently as African souls and intellects were displaced and trafficked as chattel in the then new world. In this New World of power brokers and breakers, We, Muslim-African-Americans (Bilalians) will not be silent according to the dictates of our new covenant relationship with the G-d of Adam, Noah, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, Jonah, John, Jesus the Christ, Joseph, Aaron, Moses, Abraham and Muhammed the universal man. We have been taught well. We are the people of Elijah and Wallace D Mohammed and an honorable detachment upholding the meanings of the sanctuaries at Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Quds, and Madinah Al-Munawwarah and the dignity of human life.

The Muslim world and its troubled leadership need know too that the descendants of Bilal have been given authorization to call out to humanity a new sound of leadership from atop the houses of worship and we do thereby break open the seals. As G-d spared society on the call of one innocent man of conscience, so we proclaim and establish our moral birthright to the legacies of Abraham as an indigenous Muslim people in America categorically condemning these American leadership and Muslim world leadership abuses to the Innocence and Determination of the Palestinian People.
