Earl Abdulmalik Mohammed Speaks

QUESTION: As-Salaam Alaikum Brother Imam. You have said that you will give a major address in Washington, DC soon after you are released from prison. Is that because it is your hometown, or for other reasons?

IMAM EARL ABDULMALIK MOHAMMED: You are a sensitive and wise person. You would not be asking this question and I would not be answering it if it were not significant. Yes, Washington D.C. is the city of my birth and where my parents raised me and set my mind, heart, and feet on this path that I am walking. I have family in Washington and the Boston area and Atlanta, Georgia. These three places are very important to me for reasons directly related to my work ahead, but also for the love of my family and their futures in America.

Other cities have my serious attention and devotion too. Markham, Illinois and Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, along with the New York area and Newark, New Jersey. Philadelphia, Baltimore, Houston and Dallas, Texas, Richmond, Virginia, and the whole state of California -every single city whose history was touched by the Honorable Elijah Mohammed and impacted by Imam W. Deen Mohammed's teaching and example, I take as my responsibility to do my best to influence its public attention and lifestyles to improve the quality of its life and moral conditions. All that affects this country and its most decent citizens of all social groups is our concern and responsibility as Muslim-American citizens. Each of these cities are either mighty rivers in America, feeding its life with water, milk, wine, and honey, or their tributaries.

America is very important to us. It is our native land. It is the environment for our natural interests and pursuits. And it is also represents the environment of resolution for what has troubled our African-American souls for 400 years, and troubled the human soul in modern times. This is not to say progress has not been had for us in America. We have made tremendous social and material progress, and yet the majority of us remain troubled. There is yet something unresolved in us as an African-American people. And there is a sensitivity in us that speaks to this unresolved issue and its status in the world. We are more sensitive to it than any other people on this earth. And, from us has come wisdom and language that if inspired Scripture was being revealed and written now to serve mankind 1000 years in the future, we would be the People highlighted as the story of the Lost and Found Ones. Those lost to, then finding again the Sacred and Created Destiny of man. 

I am not speaking quite like the Native American Indians when I say this. They claim America from a slightly different perspective from that which I am speaking of, and I respect it. In fact, I love their perspective and they are working hard, even if it takes them 25, 50, or 500 generations, to have their life back as they believe it was intended to be for them and all Peoples, in America. If you are an African-American, you may be looking to make another place your home and destiny, but your eternal soul will be looking over its shoulder to the America that birthed your human condition and reality for a true and honest resolution. Wherever you go you will be carrying the American reality in your psyche and you will not be at rest. The fact is that we will not be a whole People until we have achieved what our whole and honest heart demands of our minds and hands to bring into reality in America.

We will not have our true destiny until we solve our whole life dilemma in the American construct. Our ancestors sacrificed and struggled, endured unspeakable suffering and hardships, in order to survive the American reality, to make sense of the American reality, and to solve their unique American dilemma. There is no possible way that our souls will be relieved until we have in America our full humanity in every decent and intelligent social expression and material establishment. It is what G'd has intended for us. It is G'd's intervention in this American affair that the world cannot ignore or deny, and certainly America cannot ignore or deny. G'd's attention is on America and it is on what we do with the Help He has given us.

I am the successor in a great line and leadership tradition. I will do what is expected of me in this great Tradition of Faith and Knowledge that G'd has made for us to have our salvation in America. We will be saved in America, and saved for America, and America will be saved because of it and us. America will be made a better nation, a nation of excellence, because of this People and our contribution. Nothing will turn me from the responsibility, now that I have seen clearly what is expected of me and what I was invited to by the late leaders of our Tradition. Not prison. Not opposition nor mistreatment and disrespect from my own People. Not the intimidation of schemes against me and my leadership work from the political or intellectual or religious establishment backed by foreign or domestic power-players. I seek Allah's Protection and the power of what He has given my People, against such schemes. It is the Holy Qur'an and Muhammed the Prophet's teaching as given to us by Imam W. Deen Mohammed, the great gardener for America. It is in the line of his father Elijah Mohammed, and his teacher W.D. Fard, and it includes Drew Ali and Marcus Garvey. It is a pure, palatable, live-giving, product-yielding, tremendous and powerful river of life in America. It will always be directed to feed America's best life. With Allah's Help, we will never permit it to become corrupted.

A late 1970's Hollywood movie set in Washington, D.C. and depicting America as a dying garden, and an innocent, spiritually-focused gardener as the messenger for its salvation, proclaimed in one scene: "America Ain't Shit 'Cause the White Man’s gota God Complex." The problem highlighted in that scene is the bigger of the two present and major problems in our country, and in many places on this earth. I am answering your question. When I am released from prison I am intending to make this major public address in Washington, D.C., the capital of these United States. And I am not obscuring my message.

We must say to all Americans and our People that we accept the responsibility that our late leaders accepted, and that we are not afraid to deliver our message in the capital of these United States, and that we are prepared to deliver it with confidence and humility. And so, the bigger of the two major problems, is the present rise and vicious lie against the human life made by the mythological-god, Boss Jesus and the Pharaoh Complex mentality. In this answer to your question, I am giving you some points of emphasis, or highlights. Not the details.

It is very important for me to point out that I am not in any way referring to the Messenger of G'd and Prophet, Jesus, upon him be Peace. And may G'd forgive us any misuse of His Messenger's name in making this description and explaining this condition of oppression and its partner of devilish tactics against the human soul He created. Neither am I referring to sincere followers of Jesus Christ's teaching that is a Christian following in America or any other place on this earth. Those thinking of themselves as followers of Christ have my love and respect. The truth of what I am pointing to here is a scheme that has manipulated and co-opted the honored space and status of a sincere and devoted religious following.

Those I am referring to have no interest in religious faith except to use it as a weapon of spiritual enslavement. There are so-called Muslims looking for a stable of spiritual slaves too, and we will address them soon enough. For now, I am speaking of those who are in the role or pursuing the role of the mythological man-god, who sits on, and schemes to sit on, the world's many thrones. He does not rule as the Bible says in one reading, "wise counselor" and "servant of peace". No, he rules as if he is the almighty god on the throne, with the intent to control resources of the material earth in his right hand, and his scheming code to dupe and oppress man flashed in the fingers of his left hand. He works his evil with the face and flesh of European races, demeaning, demonizing, and intending to destroy human identity and human supports for all others, by presenting his flesh and his intellect as superior.

This god-figure disgraces Christianity and disfigures Christian morality and the purity of Jesus Christ and his role and teachings, the true human being and servant of G'd, who is in truth, a Word and Spirit from G'd Himself. Its reach has penetrated the psyche of all non-white Peoples on this earth. Some can see it and have fought it valiantly throughout history. Others have choked it down and are not even conscious enough to know its grip on their sense of worth. In the pursuit of material strength, this bold and arrogant scheme is even attempting now its rise among Muslim Peoples, with a distinctly Arab face and characteristics. I can tell you it will not survive long there, not even a generation. It is only the imitation of flattery. It is the colonized mind imitating the airs and mannerisms of colonizers. The adherents of Islam, by definition, will never accept any 'Image Attempting to Portray Divine' authority. The clear rule of justice in the pure teaching of Muhammed will cut down all self-righteous impostors posing among Muslims eventually.

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an, He reveals to us, that Pharaoh announced his thinking to the People of Egypt. These oppressors do not speak in the Holy Qur'an. They have no voice in the Speech of Allah. They are no comparison or match or equal to Allah, the Most High, in His Rule and Command of all He has created, though they seek to be seen on His Throne. Allah reveals to us their thinking and their history of plots against humanity, and the tactics and life-lines and tentacles of their oppressive order, for our knowledge and our benefit to protect ourselves and defeat them. And we are to relieve the suffering of mankind with this knowledge. This is the benefit in the knowledge.

The Prophet of Islam, Muhammed, the prayers and the peace be on him said, "Any who relieves the difficulty of His servants in this world, He will relieve their hardships in this world and the Next." And Allah says of Pharaoh that he was a "mighty oppressor." Meaning that his schemes were bold and arrogant, without worry or concern or trepidation that he could be stopped, against man. So, if this mind and thinking is present and active in America, out of our love for America and all of its good People, and out of consideration for who we are as an American People and what our hopes are as an American society, those of us who have been pointed to this understanding must bring it out and deal with it. 

Pharaoh's thinking was that he owned and controlled all of the rivers feeding Egyptian prosperity. He was so bold that he even challenges the people to witness to his power over them and the rivers, that their very vision will not deceive them as to the reality of his authority. He believes and proclaims by his executive authority as the Boss Man Jesus on the throne that the Rivers of the Dominion belong to him! This is the second of the problems in America. The first leads to the second, which leads to the corruption in the Rivers of the American Garden. 

I do my best to obey Islamic teaching in every respect, and in the instance of answering your question, that sets a standard for using an economy of words. I will keep this brief, and for now will only address the issue of the first or primary River. Someone may think it is the Nile, or the Mississippi, or the Euphrates, or the Hudson. It is all of these and it is none of these depending on this interest we are addressing. It is essentially, the river of water. The river, as the Holy Qur'an describes, as with an incorruptible purity.

In this concern, it is the Purity of the American idea that is Islamically-focused and that forms the basis of our Muslim-American attention to the problem here. The attention to the dignity of man by nature, endowed by his Creator to pursue and enjoy a sacred freedom, justice, and equality. This is the first target for corruption by the executive hand of the false-god and abusive white-faced authority in America. It is to make concerted and diligent efforts to re-arrange the meaning of Democracy, democratic commitments and order, upon the schemes of race-based Boss Man authority, and to deny and ridicule the general citizenry, the People, in their exercise of Constitutional dignity and rights, as if that dignity and those rights are not their natural entitlement. The Boss Jesus tyrannical man-god is no god. He is propped up by his own delusions and the support of sycophants on one side, and on the other by the power of the myth itself that has in its makeup the use of repressive public social policies as a tactic.

Man is not god. Man knows he is not god, especially modern man with all of his access to recorded Truth, scientific proofs, and insights into the natural world and ancient wisdom. It is in the unchecked appetites where we can find this desire in man to claim for himself G'd's Throne. This sinfulness is not belonging to one race group either. The appetite to study man's spiritual psychology and erect false realities as objects of worship so as to secure an influence over the streams of human consciousness which support human productivity is ancient. There are scores of non-white tyrants throughout history who have used this strategy to weaken human life in society.

However, with every "thank you Jesus...", and "Jesus take the wheel", and "Oh, sweet Jesus", and "Jesus, Lord and Savior" and "Jesus help me..." exclamations coming from the mouths of African-Americans is the sad confirmation of the blinded acceptance and rule of white-authority in the lives of those victimized by the Boss Man Jesus. It is bypassing their conscious minds, but it is ever-present in every self-destructive, self-loathing, self-hating individual and group tendency. In spite of advanced education and material progress, too many of our people are either reacting to or mating with the lie of Boss Man Jesus.

We now have in America and other places in the world a present metastasized version as a Pharaoh-god Complex which wants not only the dominance of the psyche and material resources, but wants to corrupt access to the sacred rivers feeding man's life. This is not to make a mockery. This is not to disparage the innocent. This is not to disrespect the honesty and sincerity of pure faith. The real G'd does not punish any of His Creatures for not knowing. He punishes those who know for not educating those who do not. In the heart of the individual much of this is sincere expression. In many it is an expression of religious faith, deeply held. For the manufacturers of slave codes and strategies to create new generations of slaves, it is the wink and nod code borne of the two most destructive and diabolical ideologies against human life ever concocted. It is second only to the crucified-pitiable-suicide god lie. 

We do not sit still. Over every thing G'd is the Witness. As Muslim-Americans, following our beautiful tradition, we do not accept them poisoning of the American Garden and its sources of support. We are not alone in this. As the good people of this country come to see again where we stand, and the foundation and strength of our stance, they will allow us to join them and they will join us.
